ZHANG XIAO ZHAI 张孝宅
Having been in the restoration line of old Chinese Calligraphy works for over 50 years, Master Zhang spent the first 30 years of his illustrious career in China, working on various major restoration works.
Since 1991, he has been based in Singapore, offering his high standards of art restoration services to the National Heritage Board, The National Art Museum, the Singapore Art Museum as well as numerous private collectors.
He has successfully restored renowned works from acclaimed modern artists such as Chen Wen Hsi (陈文希), Tan Swie Hian (陈瑞献), Xu Beihong (徐悲虹), Huang Binhong (黄宾虹), Zhang Daqian (張大千), Wu Guanzhong (吴冠中), Li Keran (李可染) and many more classical artists. His restored works can be found in countless homes, hotels, galleries as well as in public places such as the Thian Hock Keng Temple (天福宫) in Singapore.
Currently, he is a Visiting Professor in the Chinese Academy of Art, in Hangzhou, ZheJiang, lecturing in art restoration practices.
Zhang Yan, Eve 张艳
Honing her skills quietly for the past 15 years under the keen tutelage of her father Master Zhang, Eve has a fervent interest in helping collectors maintaining their valuable paintings in the best possible condition.
Eve has now restored numerous works by art masters such as Zhang Daqian (張大千), Chen Wen Hsi (陈文希), Cheong Soo Pieng 钟四宾, Chua Ek Kay 蔡逸溪, Master Songnian 松年法师, Qi Bai Shi 齐白石, Henri Chen KeZhan and more.
Her clientele include government institutions and multinational organisations such as Sotheby's, National Heritage Board (Singapore), National Gallery Singapore, and OCBC amongst many others.
Her exposure to art restoration and various art masters from her childhood days in Hangzhou has allowed her to develop an astute eye at recommending solutions for her customers.
